想要說喜歡甚麼食物/味道

吃東西的時候我們會說喜歡甚麼、不喜歡甚麼，
如果想說很喜歡醋的話，我就會說

🎈 I’m personally a fan of vinegar.
我個人很喜歡醋(我是醋的粉絲)

👉 a fan of ____
___的粉絲

如果你想講甚麼東西是你有史以來吃過最好吃的話，
有個罐頭句型外國人常常說，

👉 one of the best ______I’ve ever had
我吃過最好吃的其中一個____

🎈 This is one of the best 炸醬麵 I’ve ever had.
這是我吃過最好吃的其中一碗炸醬麵

醬料的比例

加不同醬料的時候很常用到比例的概念，
這個時候你就可以用 “part” 這個字，

👉 1 part (1份) / 3 part (3份)

👉 1 part to 3 part
1:3的比例

加上醬油(soy sauce)跟醋(vinegar)

🎈 They actually recommend one part soy sauce and three part vinegar.
其實他們推薦的比例是1份醬油配3份醋

描述食物的口味

我會需要描述食物的口味，
像那一盤小菜是已經調味過的，我就會說

🎈 It’s already seasoned.
(小菜)已經調味過了

我覺得小籠包非常的精緻，我就可以說

🎈 It’s delicate.
口味精緻/細緻

🎈 The taste of Xiao Long Bao is really delicate.
小籠包的味道真的很精緻

如果味道有點酸(sour)的話，就可以說

🎈 It’s a little bit sour.
味道有點酸

講到口味還有2種句型可以用，

👉 The flavors are ____
口味是____

如果說口味很重(strong flavor，重口味)的話，可以說

🎈 The flavors are strong.
口味很重

如果很清淡就可以說

🎈 The flavors are light.
口味很清淡

🎈 The flavors are not too strong.
口味不會太重

第二個可以用的句型是

👉 It’s _____ in flavor.
口味是____

🎈 It’s pretty light in flavor.
口味很清淡

想要描述加了甚麼料

炸醬麵上面放了非常多的佐料(toppings)，
“top” 是「上面」，“toppings” 就是「放在上面的」佐料

🎈 You can see how they make the toppings.
你可以看(炸醬麵)上面放了甚麼料

🎈 Tofu, pork, beans, they’re the toppings.
上面有豆腐、豬肉、豆子這些佐料

我還提到雞肉有一點硬，
這裡的「硬」不是翻成 “hard”，是要用 “tough”

🎈 The meat itself is actually a bit tough.
雞肉本身其實有點硬

描述小籠包的特徵

另外在這裡我有描述小籠包的特徵：

🎈 The skin is pretty thin.
小籠包的外皮很薄

🎈 You can see there’s soup inside of the skin.
可以看到皮裡面的湯汁

🎈 It has 18 folds on the skin.
(小籠包)的皮有18摺

講到食物要怎麼煮..

我有講到雞湯的精華(essence)

🎈 For me, the great thing about this chicken soup is the essence of the chicken has flowed into the soup.
對我來說這碗雞湯的好處在於雞的精華流到湯裡面

我覺得 “essence” 這個字還蠻實用的，
因為東方的食物常常會需要燉煮，燉煮的目的就是要提取其中的精華

講到雞湯要用小火/慢火來燉煮要用slow fire，
(不是 “small” fire，也不是 “little” fire)

🎈 It says that they cook their chicken soup over a slow fire for 100 minutes.
聽說他們會用小火(慢火)燉煮雞湯100分鐘

接下來講一些跟吃東西有關的詞：

有時候吃東西之前會弄一下(set up)醬料，

🎈 I would set up my sauce first.
我先弄一下醬料

通常店家會準備醬油(soy sauce)跟醋(vinegar)，

把醋倒進去會用 “pour in”，
(通常把液體類倒進去都是用 “pour in”)

🎈 I would pour in vinegar into my small plate.
我會把醋倒進我的小碟子裡面

吃小籠包會需要沾(dip)一些醬，

🎈 What I would do is to dip the Xiao Long Bao in the vinegar a little bit.
我會給小籠包沾一點醋

接著要拿(grab)一些薑(ginger)，
像鼎泰豐這樣的店家通常會給客人一些薑

👉 grab some ginger
拿一些薑

👉 provide ____(人) with ____
提供某人____

🎈 They would provide you with some ginger in the small plate.
他們會在小碟子裡給你一些薑

吃麵的時候需要加一些醋在裡面，

👉 add _____ to it
加_____進去

🎈 I would add some vinegar to it.
我會加一些醋進去

吃麵的時候需要把醬料跟麵均勻地拌在一起，
這個時候我們會用

👉 mix _____ up
拌在一起

🎈 I will mix them up before I eat them.
我會在吃(麵)之前把(醬料跟麵)拌在一起

好的店家需要好的品質控管，
