分享一個英文自介的好例子

如果我希望我的面試官對我留下好印象，
我不會對面試官報告我的一生

我會聚焦在我最厲害的優點上，
然後我會提供確切例子和量化的結果來佐證

假設我想跟面試官說我學習事情很快，我會這樣說喔：

① 先講我的強項

🎈 I’m a fast learner.
我是個學習很快的人

② 解釋具體行為

🎈 I always go and figure things out quickly.
我總是很快就弄清楚事情要怎麼做

③ 提出實例

🎈 When I was in ABC company, I was asked to design a new internal system.
我在ABC公司的時候，我被要求設計一個新的內部系統

🎈 I organized a team project,
我組織了一個團隊專案

④ 拿出戰績

🎈 and got it done in 3 months with almost 0 major issues,
我花了3個月完成，而且幾乎沒有產生任何系統問題

⑤ 對比業界標準

🎈 whereas it usually takes others 5 months to do the same task.
而在業界通常需要5個月做出同樣的系統

在這個例子我先強調我最厲害的優點：

🎈 I do things fast,
我做事很快

🎈 I learn things quickly.
我學習迅速

接著我提供一個例子，
就是我在3個月以內建立一個新的內部系統

接著我講出量化結果：

🎈 Got it done in 3 months, with almost 0 major issues,
3個月完成，幾乎沒有系統問題

來支持「我是快速學習者」這個論點

最後我用

🎈 whereas it usually takes others 5 months to do the same task
而在業界通常需要5個月

來證明我的紀錄比業界的好

我提供這個業界的對比，
是因為我的面試官可能對怎樣是個「好結果」沒有概念

句子中的英文用法

那現在來看這些句子中的英文用法～

首先我說我會..

🎈 Go and figure things out.
去把事情弄清楚

你可以用 “go and do ____” 這個慣用語
來說你主動去做某件事

你可以把 “figure things out” 換成其他動詞：

👉 I always go and see if I could provide a better solution.
我總是主動去想能否提供更好的解法

👉 I always go and get things done quickly.
我總是會去把事情快速做完

接著我舉了一個具體的例子：

🎈 I was asked to design an internal system.
我被要求設計一個新的內部系統

“be asked to” 意思是有人要你做一些事，
那個人可能是你的老闆、同事、供應商或是客戶等等

你可以造適合你的句子，像是：

👉 I was asked to provide a business plan for our clients.
我被要求提供一個商業企劃案給客戶

👉 I was asked to plan ahead how to achieve our goal next year.
我被要求去計劃怎麼達成明年目標

並說明我怎麼解決這個問題：

🎈 I organized a team project.
我組織了一個團隊專案

“to organize” 意思是安排一件事情並使它發生，
這件事情可以是會議、活動、講座、事件，甚至團隊專案

你可以造一些句子，像是：

👉 I organized a technical meeting for our team.
我替我們團隊組織一個技術會議

👉 I organized a sales event for our clients.
我替客戶組織了一個業務會議

接著我說「我很快完成了這件事」：

🎈 I got it done in 3 months.
我用3個月完成這個案子

“to get ______ done” 就是結束了某件事的意思
像我可以造個適合自己的句子：

👉 I want to get this project done by the end of this year.
我希望今年底可以完成這個專案

👉 I want to get things done efficiently in order to meet deadlines.
我需要有效率完成事情來趕上截止日

最後我說：

🎈 Whereas it takes others 5 months.
而別人做通常要花5個月

“whereas” 意思是跟某個事實比較

我用 “whereas” 來開啟下一句話
因為我希望把我的貢獻和業界標準對照

用這個單字來對照不同結果或選擇很有幫助
舉例來說：

👉 It took us 6 months to achieve our goals this year, whereas it took us 9 months to achieve it last year.
我們今年花6個月達成目標，對比我們去年花9個月達成

要描述做一件事需要花多少時間，可以說：

🎈 It takes us 5 months to do it.
我們花了5個月做這件事

當你用 “it takes” 加上一段時間，
你是在表達你需要花多少時間完成某件事
你可以說：

👉 It took us 4 hours to come up with a solution.
我們花了4個小時想出一個解法

👉 It took us almost 1 year to get this project done.
我們花了幾乎一整年完成這個專案

現在我們就用剛提到的英文慣用語組成新的一段自我介紹吧！

假設我要向面試官說我擅長解決問題
我可以組織以下這段：

① 先講我的強項

🎈 I’m good at solving problems,
我擅長解決問題

② 解釋具體行為

🎈 I always go and see if I could provide a better solution.
我總是主動去想能否提供更好的解法

③ 提出實例

🎈 When I was in XYZ company, I was asked to solve a problem that..
當我在XYZ公司的時候，我被要求解決一個問題

🎈 it took our team too long to communicate with other cross functional team on customer issues.
那是關於我們花太多時間和其他跨部門團隊討論客戶問題這件事

🎈 So what we would do was I organized a team meeting, and we came up with a communication SOP.
所以我們作了以下這件事：我組織了一個團隊會議，然後大家想出一套溝通流程

④ 拿出戰績

🎈 At the end, our team could solve 12 issues per week after we set up the new process,
設立新流程後，我們可以一周解決12個問題

⑤ 對比業界標準

🎈 whereas we could solve 7 issue in the past.
對照我們之前一周只能解決7個問題
